BENEFIT FOR EARTHQUAKE RELIEF IN TURKEY & SYRIA: Ghost Feet, Outwith, Veradas – 21+

This show will benefit Oxfam’s earthquake emergency response in Turkey and Syria, which is expected to include water and sanitation, shelter and food support as well as longer-term rehabilitation and reconstruction. After releasing their debut record, Together Alone (Dropping Gems, 2015), Ghost Feet decided to shelve the project to focus on their respective solo projects. The duo later reconvened at a Portland studio during the pandemic to build on a sound The FADER once called “…the audio equivalent of dappled sunlight, winking and blinking through the shade”. During those initial studio sessions of live instrumentation, Ghost Feet added lead vocalist Jessie Branch, who records and produces as Erina. The trio leapt into the creative unknown by embracing the experimental sonic textures of 4AD Records over programmed electronics. They have since added bass player Ryan Scott and drummer Benjamin Tyler to their lineup. What resulted from those sessions was the new single, It Disappeared. Rejecting a return to form, their newest single is soaked in rich guitar textures carried by cinematic melodies elevated by the silkiness of Jessie’s ethereal voice. Ghost Feet is Nuri Erdal, Rachel Dubuc, Jessie Branch, Ryan Scott, and Benjamin Tyler, and is based in Portland, Oregon by way of Olympia, Washington. They have released a series of EPs and the full-length Together Alone on Dropping Gems. Their music has been featured in VICE, Impose Magazine, The FADER, Earmilk, XLR8R, and other music publications. It Disappeared is Ghost Feet’s first release as a five-piece and they anticipate releasing an LP in the spring of 2023.

CANCELED: Elita – All Ages

DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, ELITA’S TOUR HAS BEEN CANCELED. ALL TICKET BUYERS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REFUNDED.Growing up in Cupids, Newfoundland, Canada, a town of less than 800 people, Elita spent most of her childhood in isolation. With encouragement from her parents, she developed artistic skills in photography, drawing, dancing, singing and music. She changed high schools frequently as a teenager. Feeling removed from friends, she found comfort in social media, where she began gaining a following on instagram in 2015, and began modeling. In 2017, Elita launched her own business, designing zines and a few years later, a weapons jewelry line. That same year, she met her boyfriend, Tim. Although Elita hadn’t engaged in anything musically since she was a teenager, Tim recognized her musical potential and encouraged her to start singing again. The couple recorded a cover of ‘After Hours’ by the Velvet Underground. With a growing interest in the cinematic arts, Elita focused on writing a movie script with Tim (to no success). However this attempt at collaboration led to them writing their first single, ‘I Hate Everyone But You’ (2018). They had no intention of making the song public, but after recording a test demo, they decided to release it. Tim concentrated on writing more songs with his bandmates, and sending these instrumentals to Elita who would write lyrics and perform vocals. This collaboration led to the eventual recording and release of Elita’s debut EP, ‘Sick Girl’ (2019), which was followed by the ‘Blood Sucker’ (2020) and ‘Anxiety Angel’ (2021) EPs. The projects combined have over 30M streams.
